Game On with Natalie Dormer...

I'm a self confessed Game of Thrones junkie. Besides Khalesi, Natalie Dormer's character is one of my favs. Especially in Season 5 as she begins to give the Queen Mother some of her own back. Seeing her in her own style environment in this Cosmo spread, made my week.

Oh Frida...

You have inspired me from the first moment I saw your monobrow. I wanted to know who you were. Besides being one of the world's most famous self taught artists your, sense of style, love of colour and sheer determination to stand up for all the good in the world always lives on in my creative jungle. Thank-You xxx

AFRO-LICIOUS...

It's utterly inspiring knowing that we, us, African stylistas are inspiring street trends in major cities like NYC. They getting back to their roots at the recent Afropunk Music Festival.

SHOP LOCAL...

Been getting overly inspired by local African designers lately. The vibrant colours, mixing prints and OTT hair. Love Oyato.

And They're Off...

Who doesn't love a good Race Day dress-up. These are some of my ALL time favourite looks for big race day events. I've never been a huge fan of themed race day dress up so this years Vodacom  Durban July theme: 'The Captain's Table' is very probably the BEST one we've had in a while. You can play with it a bit. Think of the grandeur of the Titanic and go faux fur, sequins, and tassles. Or moderniseyour vibe by embracing your inner celeb and look for well-structured dresses for 2015. With OTT headpieces. We've got a month to go so get shopping at #LOVEPAV #LOVEPAVFASHION #ROYALTIDE

Stella Jean..

I have always been obsessed with Stella Jean. I love the way she uses her West African heritage into her work. Less isn't more with her and she's also got an incredibly cute kids range. Check her out here.http://www.stellajean.it/

Inspo...

I've lost count of how bikini shoots I've done. From being Fashion Editor at Saltwater GIRL magazine, then Editor, then moving to Mr Price and working on their Red beach brand. I've spent many a winter-morning-sunrise, dressing freezing cold models into little pieces of lycra and sending them off onto the beach to look fab...and not cold! The brief is always the same "Girl on the beach, having fun...but different to last year's campaign, but still within our brand identity and lets make it look authentic". So yes, even I need new inspiration when shooting bikinis. I loved this shoot from Stab Magazine. It's tres risky but I love the natural light and whimsical feel.

ChloƩ Spring Backstage 2015

Absolutely Ga-Ga for this collection. It screams spring with pastels, soft flowing fabris and lace dresses. I'm also totally in love with the gladiator sandals from the show which means I can keep shopping for my favourite sandal. I hate T-Bars...

Why I LOVE to Online Shop...

Because I usually have a car filled with product for shoots or am shopping for someone else; I don't get a lot of time to actually shop for myself. I've been addicted to shopping online since my first ottoman was delivered by a friendly man who carried it into my house and plonked it exactly where I wanted it. It's no mess no fuss and not enough South Africans are doing it! I've brought all 4 of the above items (scatter cushion, black felt placement, faux fur blanket and table lamp) from Mr Price Home and this might be the best part...my husband hasn't even noticed! So there's no "WTF another scatter cushion" conversations. Best!
