Made my way to the newly erected Madela Capture Site yesterday. This was where after 17 months in hiding he was stopped at a roadblock and arrested by the Apartheid Police. It was here that he was dragged away from his family for 27 years to be imprisoned on Robin Island. Fifty huge steel poles at the right alignment reveal his face. The middle image shows the enormity of the artwork. That's me in the red coat. It's an incredible piece of art by Marco Cianfanelli. It was truly special to witness such an immaculate piece of art whilst remembering such an important part of our history xxx
