Inspo...

I've lost count of how bikini shoots I've done. From being Fashion Editor at Saltwater GIRL magazine, then Editor, then moving to Mr Price and working on their Red beach brand. I've spent many a winter-morning-sunrise, dressing freezing cold models into little pieces of lycra and sending them off onto the beach to look fab...and not cold! The brief is always the same "Girl on the beach, having fun...but different to last year's campaign, but still within our brand identity and lets make it look authentic". So yes, even I need new inspiration when shooting bikinis. I loved this shoot from Stab Magazine. It's tres risky but I love the natural light and whimsical feel.

Absolutely Ga-Ga for this collection. It screams spring with pastels, soft flowing fabris and lace dresses. I'm also totally in love with the gladiator sandals from the show which means I can keep shopping for my favourite sandal. I hate T-Bars...

Why I LOVE to Online Shop...

Because I usually have a car filled with product for shoots or am shopping for someone else; I don't get a lot of time to actually shop for myself. I've been addicted to shopping online since my first ottoman was delivered by a friendly man who carried it into my house and plonked it exactly where I wanted it. It's no mess no fuss and not enough South Africans are doing it! I've brought all 4 of the above items (scatter cushion, black felt placement, faux fur blanket and table lamp) from Mr Price Home and this might be the best part...my husband hasn't even noticed! So there's no "WTF another scatter cushion" conversations. Best!

RHI-RHI for VOGUE BRAZIL...

As we head into winter we start shooting summer campaigns. To help keep my creative juices flowing I constantly keep an eye on international fashion editorials for ideas and inspiration. This year when I think of summer I can't move past this Vogue Brazil shoot with Rhianna from last year. It ticks so many boxes. It gets me so excited to shoot some summer glam... even if its cold outside xxx

Testing 1,2,3...

What most people don't realise is that before a creative team embark on big new projects we often have to do a 'test shoot' to iron out all the finer details. Couldn't be more excited to be test shooting with these 2 love birds #mikey297 and #gabizzard this week.

Durban Winter Is Coming...

And we going to rock it, like only us Durban girls can do. While the ladies in CPT and Jozi will be layered up in coats and knits we'll be effortlessly cool in lace, tee-shirt dresses, off the shoulder tops, wide brimmed hats, kimonos and ripped denim. Cos that's how we roll xxx

Being Boho...

Boho isn't just a style it's a feeling. Jump aboard the boho bus this long weekend by mixing lace and chiffon kimonos. Wear loads of eccentric bling. Don't be afraid of big sunnies and add play with eclectic accessories like head scarfs and hand-made treasures. Take in a big deep breathe of fresh air and you'll be in gypsy-ville in no time xxx

Shall we do a Cafe?

I'm more of a wine snob than coffee snob. For me a cafe has to have something special. It has to have an ambience and uniqueness that I can't deliver from my at-home-coffee-machine. These are my 4 favourite Cafe's in #Durban.

1. Freedom Cafe, perfect for a Friday meeting because they do great cocktails too.

2. The Corner Cafe, great for a quick meeting during the week and on Saturdays they do live music from 12pm.

3. The Antique Cafe, is my most popular choice of meeting venues only because it's linked to an antique and vintage clothing store. Plus Jenny bakes the BEST beesting cake, you'll ever taste.

4. Heidi's Cafe, off Anstey's beach is great for weekends with friends. There's no wifi (so you have to talk to each other) and Heidi is infamous for her baked goods.

What you need, RIGHT NOW...

1. Loads of ring bling. Try Lovisa or Zuri

2. A felt hat. Try Woolies, The Space or Cotton On

3. A good pair of ankle boots. Try Bata

4. A pretty white lace something. Go vintage and try Babette or Cinnamon Clothing
